Join Division 47!!

Division 47, Exercise and Sport Psychology, brings together psychologists, as well as exercise and sport scientists, interested in research, teaching, and service. The Division welcomes professional, associate and student members of APA who have an interest in sport and exercise. We welcome members from all other divisions and other areas of psychology. The Division sponsors both preconvention workshops and convention programming. Our newsletter is published, online, three times a year and we have a listserv. For those interested in running, the APA Running Psychologists is an official section of Division 47and sponsors the annual Ray’s Race at the APA convention.

For professional and associate members, the Division offers a chance to network with other professionals with similar interests. As a smaller Division, we offer opportunities for leadership and professional growth. For students, D47 offers the chance to meet professionals in the field and to build relationships with your future professional cohort. Students are involved in all of the Division committees and they serve on the Executive Board. The Division sponsors an annual Dissertation Award.
